Two Updates
count 'em, two!
Hello!
I would like to begin with an apology to my beautiful paid subscribers, whom I love. You see, I have been writing my contribution to the Substack miracle discourse, and it is going to be epic.
This might not sound like a bad thing, as if I were complaining that my cauliflower steak is too juicy, that my girlfriend has an excellent Substack, that my pillow is too plump with loose teeth for the tooth fairy and the wool of several lab grown ewes. However, the downside of writing the yummiest miraclepost of all time is that is has given me a crippling case of writer’s block; all my other blog post ideas feel like straw in comparison, and I hate them.
I intend to spend the next week getting over myself, churning out paid posts at a more acceptable rate, as well as free ones for all you free-loaders. I am sorry for starving you out.
In the meantime, just for today, here are two mini updates.
First, following last week’s blog post that critiqued a paper by Joshua Sijuwade, the veteran blogger, Jesus historian, and radio host John Nelson kindly offered to set up an in-studio dialogue between Sijuwade and myself on the Unbelievable? radio show! Assuming all goes to plan, the topic is ‘a priori arguments for Christianity’, and it’ll happen later next month.
Second, I did an interview with Miles K. Donahue for his podcast/YouTube Channel! For those of you who have been living under a KETTLE, Miles is a philosopher of religion, Oxford DPhil Student, and owner of a great set of teeth. His YouTube channel is a hidden gem for those who like philosophy of religion and metaethics, and it was a pleasure to appear on his show. In order to bait people’s clicks, Miles and I decided to discuss only topics that are controversial, grabby, and interesting: as a result, should you decide to watch, you will see me steelman the doctrine of eternal hell, defend the Mormon pre-existence theodicy, argue that fine-tuning is empirical evidence for objective beauty, and discuss the miracle evidence for Baháʼí. You consume it on YouTube, Spotify, and Substack.
For a taste of what is to come, WATCH as Miles crumbles like a CRUMBLE and open-mindedly ADMITS, like a LIBERAL, that I raised his credence in aesthetic realism.

You, Sijuwade, and John Nelson?! I’m in!! 🤓
Very excited to see the Sijuwade discussion! Big fan of Miles as well!
